Dreaming of the Loire Valley : From Orleans to Chambord to Amboise

2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the Loire Valley’s listing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, thanks to its incredible cultural sites, historic villages, outstanding landscapes, expansive gardens and more. The entire Loire Valley UNESCO site spans 174 miles along the Loire River, starting from Sully-sur-Loire in the eastern part of the region and extending all the way to Chalonnes-sur-Loire in Anjou in the western part of the region. Below are highlights of a trip along the Loire, starting in the Sully-sur-Loire area, and ending in the nearby city of Tours.
